What is Salik?

Salik is Dubai’s automated toll collection system, which allows drivers to pass through toll gates without stopping. It automatically deducts a set fee from their prepaid account each time they cross a Salik gate, ensuring smooth traffic flow on Dubai roads. The standard toll is AED 4 to AED 6 per crossing, and it’s mandatory for all vehicles driving in Dubai to have a Salik tag.

Key Points About Salik

A small electronic tag attached to your vehicle uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to automatically deduct tolls when passing through designated Salik gates.

No Stopping Required

You don’t need to stop at toll booths to pay, as the system automatically deducts the fee from your prepaid Salik account.
